Adventurous Training is an essential part of the Air Cadet's training syllabus and the place where team effort really matters - you'll build new friendships, and learn to rely on the other people you're with to get the job done.
Birkenhead Squadron takes adventure training very seriously and encourages all cadets to take part in a range of activities some of which have never been undertaken by any other squadron. We are known for trying the unknown!
We pride ourselves at 400 Sqn, on having a go! If there is something we haven't tried yet, lets see if we can do it. There is a wide range of adventurous activities to get stuck into, from climbing to kayaking, from skiing to trekking. Sometimes what's on offer depends on the staff available to take that activity, but everything you do is supervised by qualified trainers who will ensure you get the most out of it.
Some of the activities cadets have been involved is include;
Whitewater rafting, camping, hill walking, indoor skiing and snowboarding, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, raft building, mountain biking, high ropes courses, archery to name just a few.
