400 (Birkenhead) Squadron

Air Training Corps

The Squadron has regular recruit intakes so that all new cadets start their training together. That way, you won't miss out on any of the activities and you will make friends much easier.

If you are aged 12 (and in Year 8) to 17 years and would like to register your interest, email us at: 400@aircadets.org and we will be in touch.

The next recruit presentation night will be announced soon.

The ATC is a volunteer youth organisation and most of our instructors are civilians freely giving their time.

The ATC aims to train cadets in a wide range of subjects and not just about the RAF or military. Therefore we always need new instructors who are willing to give up their time and get involved in sports, adventure training, radio, electronics, model making, in fact the more interests the better.

If you think you maybe able to help our cadets or you are simply curious about how you can get involved click below or contact us.

Every squadron has a committee that overseas the units accounts and helps to raise funds for equipment or activities not provided for by the RAF. This includes hiring minibuses for Alton Towers or camping weekends, or it may mean raising funds to puchase new IT equipment, update the flight simulator or renew the adventure training equipment.

Many of the ways a committee raises funds is either through bag packs at our local supermarket or social evenings. We are always looking for new members, and you don't have to be a parent of a cadet to get involved.

If you are interested check out the committee website here, or email the squadron at: 400@aircadets.org
